Application Instruction
- Shut off the pipe or hose before attempting the repair. Clean and smooth the repair area using sandpaper and remove any loose particles.
- Apply gloves, take the putty, and knead between fingers to fully mix the active ingredients. Work the mixed material forcefully into any cracks or holes and apply pressure until adhesion begins to take effect.
- Open the foil pouch and immerse the bandage in fresh, temperate water for 10 seconds. Squeeze the bandage 1-2 times while in water to help activation.
- Holding the leading edge of the bandage to the pipe, apply it by spirally wrapping it around with 50% overlap. Keep a firm tension on the bandage at all times, and ensure it covers an area of at least 50 mm on either side of the damaged section. Build up the repair with multiple layers, backward and forward over the repair area, to at least 10mm thick. Maintaining high tension is critical to the success of the repair.
- Rub the bandage with wet gloves and make the smooth surface until the resin stops foaming before it hardens.
Allow 30 minutes to completely cure.
